Bloodstone

 

Bloodstone is also known as heliotrope and is one of the many forms of chalcedony. A variety of quartz which occurs in massive formations – the colour is usually a dark green with flecks of red – in smaller pieces the red does not always appear.

 

Bloodstone is often called ‘the stone of Courage’. It is said to be an intense healing stone, can be used to awaken and bring energy uniformity in the base, sacral, naval and heart Chakra's.

 

It is also said to provide grounding, centering, help overcome stress and anxiety, brings harmony and strength, revitalises love, relationships and friendships, instils wisdom, enhances creativity, encourages decisiveness, brings abundance and good fortune.

 

Bloodstone is also attributed to be good for blood disorders, kidneys, liver, bladder, intestines, is detoxifying, stabilises blood flow, and helps failing eyesight, lung congestion and rashes.
